2025 Tattoo Recap — A Quiet Year of Foundations, Growth & Future Direction
2025 wasn’t the loudest year of my career — and that was intentional.
This was the year I stepped back from constantly producing new work and instead focused on everything that sits behind the art: structure, clarity, intention, and the systems that will support my work for years ahead.
Much of that effort doesn’t show in a single photograph.
But it changes everything.
I redesigned my website.
I organised and aligned all my social media platforms.
I started writing blogs to give clients more insight into my process.
And I built the foundation for a far more productive 2026 — a year with more tattoo projects, more storytelling, and more art.
Even with a quieter schedule, 2025 still delivered several meaningful pieces worth reflecting on.
Clock Chest Piece — Taking a Client’s Vision and Making It My Own
This was one of those projects where I wasn’t fully convinced at the start.
The client had a clear idea, and my job was to interpret it in a way that still felt authentically mine.
I experimented with a few new techniques in this design — especially around texture and depth — and they paid off.
The healed result confirmed it: this piece pushed me forward in a subtle but important way, and it reminded me that trying new things is necessary for growth.
Plague Doctor Upper Arm — A Returning Client’s Trust
This tattoo stands out as one of my favourites of the year.
I tattooed this client back in 2023, and he flew from abroad to London specifically to get tattooed by me again. That trust means everything.
It was my first time creating a Plague Doctor theme, and it required the full range of my technical control — from fabric textures to metallic surfaces to atmospheric contrast.
The piece healed beautifully, and it marked a moment where I felt my realism reach another level.
Lion & Dragon Chest — A Custom Design From Scratch
A powerful concept built entirely from the client’s idea.
Designing this piece from zero allowed me to explore movement, tension, and symmetry across the entire chest.
Interestingly, 2025 became a year of chest pieces for me — far more than I usually take on.
This one was especially enjoyable because of how naturally the composition settled into the body.
Personal Project — Three Connected Areas, One Story
This project will stay with me for a long time.
We began it in 2024, but most of the design and execution came together in 2025.
It was a deeply personal tattoo for the client — and a challenging technical exercise for me.
Creating three separate tattoo areas and making them feel like one cohesive artwork forced me to evolve as an artist.
Flow, balance, negative space, and transitions mattered more here than in any single piece.
It stretched my creativity in a way I didn’t expect, and I’m grateful for it.
I’m looking forward to taking on more large, interconnected projects like this in the coming years.
Full Shoulder & Chest Flow — Designing for a Muscular Physique
This project was all about body flow.
When a client is very muscular, the anatomy creates exaggerated curves and angles.
That can make design placement difficult — lines distort, shapes shift, and achieving symmetry becomes far more complex.
This tattoo was a challenge I embraced.
I proved to myself that I can design pieces that move with the body, not against it.
It doesn’t sit on top of the skin like a sticker — it becomes part of the structure underneath.
Body flow is something I’ve been focusing on heavily in 2025, and this project was a turning point.
Looking Ahead to 2026
If 2025 was the year of building foundations, 2026 is the year of using them.
More large-scale pieces.
More healed-results photography.
More blogs that document the stories behind each tattoo.
More art in general — and more clarity behind why I create the way I do.
Quiet years often prepare the loud ones.
FAQs
How do I book a tattoo for 2026?
Bookings open on my website. You can submit your idea, reference images, and preferred placement through the booking form.
Do you take on large projects only?
I prioritise medium to large projects, but I do take on smaller concept-driven pieces depending on availability.
Do you design everything from scratch?
Yes — everything is custom. Some ideas allow for multiple design variations; some require a single focused concept.
How long does a chest or sleeve project take?
Most large projects take multiple sessions spread across several months. The exact number depends on detail, body area, and skin behaviour.
Do you focus on healed work?
Yes. I document and photograph tattoos months later because healed results show the true quality and longevity of the work.
